13th May 2024. FULDA, GERMANY. VNC Automotive, a pioneering provider of automotive connectivity solutions, announces its participation in RETTmobil 2024, Germany’s premier trade fair for rescue and mobility professionals, taking place from 15-17 May.

The VNC Automotive team invites attendees to visit booth 809 in hall 8, to see how critical equipment can be integrated into and controlled from the existing vehicle screen. This makes for a safer, smarter, and more ergonomic cabin for emergency response teams.

At RETTmobil 2024, VNC Automotive will introduce its groundbreaking first responder technologies installed within their brand-new demo vehicle, the Peugeot 308 SW. This vehicle demonstrates how emergency response fleets can remove bulky equipment, add-on screens, and controllers from the cabin, featuring the Cobalt Cube® at its core. The Cobalt Cube empowers seamless command control directly from the existing OEM screen, offering unparalleled capabilities for emergency responders and rescue workers.

Tom Blackie, CEO, VNC Automotive says, “At RETTmobil 2024 we will bring our industry leading software and hardware together within the context of a real-life vehicle. Having met with emergency response agencies, fleet managers and vehicle converters across the US and Europe since we launched Cobalt Cube, we know that nothing beats the ability for people to interact with the product. We are aligned with the event holder’s ethos that delegates should handle, test, and try out the solutions that are on display. Our emergency response and rescue customers operate often in very challenging environments, so their in-vehicle tech needs to perform consistently under these conditions. We’re delighted at the response Cobalt Cube has had from the European market so far and look forward to continuing these discussions at RETTmobil in Germany this week.”

Highlighted features of the RETTmobil display include:

  • Integration of lights, sirens, phones, computers, radios, ALPR, and mission-critical applications.
  • Reduction of cabin clutter, fostering safer, smarter, and more ergonomic environments for emergency and rescue workers.
  • Streamlined upfitting processes, minimising time, and cost while maximising vehicle end-of-life value.
  • Transition from limited and expensive legacy video switching technologies to modern solutions.

Delegates and media are invited to join the VNC Automotive team at RETTmobil 2024 to experience Cobalt Cube firsthand through an in-vehicle demonstration. Please visit booth 809, in hall 8 between 15-17 May.
