Connectivity for all industries

Our solutions allow auto makers to enrich the in-vehicle experience for drivers and passengers through device connectivity, multimedia and productivity, and telematics for helpdesk support.

Consumer

Our technology currently resides in millions of consumer vehicles, enriching the in-vehicle experience for both drivers and passengers. The IVI, head unit display and rear seat entertainment screens can all be used to access smartphone native applications, media and content. Secure outbound connections can also be made to access home automation or workplace systems. As vehicles become increasingly autonomous, the time spent in transit can be more entertaining and productive than ever for those travelling. We support many of the world’s leading auto OEMs and Tier 1s with their infotainment strategies.

First responders

Emergency service and law enforcement vehicles benefit greatly from enhanced connectivity. For this industry we typically focus on seamless device integration, including integrating smartphones, tablets and PCs into the IVI system, so that they can be safely stowed, displayed and accessed from the vehicle screen. Secure, inbound and outbound connectivity enables access to mission critical systems from the dash and for remote operator support, for example enabling access to and control of vehicle systems such as sirens, locking and cameras. We work with first responders and their Tier 1s to provide a safe, efficient and connected vehicle environment.

Commercial

OEMs and operators of logistical vehicles including trucks, vans and taxis deploy our technology for live and continuous access to vehicle data and telematics. Our software is being used to enable fleet operators to maximise efficiency around local route mapping, improve fuel economy and pre-emptively identify maintenance issues to virtually eliminate unplanned vehicle downtime. Typically, our software is embedded by Tier 1 suppliers to major haulage OEMs either at the start of production or as an aftermarket option, within an add-on-box or similar device.

Industrial

Remote connectivity and control of heavy duty and agricultural vehicles is enabling OEMs to realise several benefits. Isolated agricultural land and hazardous construction sites embed our connectivity solutions into their vehicles, which can subsequently be viewed and operated remotely, without drivers and around the clock. This level of autonomy increases productivity and removes the risk to drivers, which is proving popular in certain scenarios.

Shared mobility

Ride hailing and car sharing scenarios require IVI and associated vehicle screens to become quickly and seamlessly customisable depending on who is on board. In this case smartphone or cloud centric IVI systems enable drivers and passengers to personalise their in-vehicle experience, accessing their favourite applications or media for the duration of their journey. Likewise, connectivity into the vehicle via a helpdesk can offer support if the vehicle user has any issues with operating that vehicle or its associated embedded systems. Both scenarios can be accommodated by our technology.

Test automation

When embedded within test automation tools, Tier 1s use our connectivity middleware to simulate screen events on target devices. Our software is integrated into head units before the Tier 1 commences production, enabling rigorous remote and automated testing to take place covering all possible driver or passenger specific screen events.
