When it comes to cars, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems have always been one of their salient elements ever since the first radio was affixed to a car’s trunk. Today, popular device interoperability standards, Android Auto, CarPlay, CarLife, MirrorLink, allow interlacing of the car’s IVI system with the driver’s mobile device to offer drivers a connected car experience.

VNC Automotive is a pioneer in this area, having supported most of the world’s major automotive OEMs with their IVI software and mobile integration strategies. It was recently recognised by AutoTech Outlook magazine as one of the “Top 10 Automotive Technology Solution Providers” in the UK 2019.

“We are providing solutions that allow OEMs to offer a truly connected in-vehicle entertainment experience for drivers and passengers, through mobile, IVI and cloud convergence.”

The AutoTech Outlook award is the annual listing of 10 companies that are at the forefront of providing automotive technology solutions and transforming businesses. VNC Automotive CEO Tom Blackie features in the recent AutoTech Outlook magazine, discussing what it is like working towards next-gen vehicle connectivity, and how VNC Automotive technology is now in 30 million vehicles and counting.
