World leaders in transport entertainment and connectivity software, VNC Automotive, invite automakers to experience Cobalt Link+ for device connectivity.

Wednesday July 1st, 2020. Cambridge, UK – VNC Automotive today announced the launch of its commercial evaluation packs, featuring its popular Cobalt Link+ technology. Next-generation infotainment projects will get a boost as the packs come with this technology pre-integrated and ready to test drive on sample hardware. Meaning that automakers can advance proof of concept (POC) projects faster, with minimal in-house engineering overheads.

“Cobalt Link+ is a prime example of how we continue to push the boundaries of technology available today, to enable the vehicles of tomorrow. To be able to make these solutions faster and simpler to trial via the new evaluation packs is really exciting.”

The new packs have been launched in response to increasing requests from automakers, Tier 1 and industry partners who want to evaluate the most popular features of this industry leading solution, quickly and with minimal set up. In the current climate not all infotainment projects have the capacity, resource, or time to trial connectivity software on their own HMIs or hardware, and so the evaluation packs have been designed to negate this.

Tom Blackie, CEO of VNC Automotive says: “We are delighted to launch our new commercial evaluation packs in response to what we have been hearing from the industry. We wanted to make the most compelling and requested features of our solutions more readily available for commercial entities to try out. And the new commercial evaluation packs are a great route to enable an easy and rapid trial for our customers.”

Blackie continues: “In an industry where vehicles are becoming increasingly autonomous, our solutions enable transportation time to be more entertaining, productive and efficient than ever. Seamless device integration, aggregation of media from multiple sources, and serving this to multiple screens, starts to enable a very interactive in-vehicle experience. This experience can be unique to each passenger or an immersive shared event throughout the vehicle such as gaming or cinema.”

Blackie concludes: “Cobalt Link+ is a prime example of how we continue to push the boundaries of technology available today, to enable the vehicles of tomorrow. To be able to make these solutions faster and simpler to trial via the new evaluation packs is really exciting.”
